Job Description / Average Wage

Sales Associate: You will be responsible for various duties in the store.   You will run the cash register, where you will take orders as well as process returns.   You will also make sure that the sales floor remains organized as well as fold clothes, and stock them.   In your free time, you’ll assist the store manager with any duties that they need help with.   The average wage is $8 to $10 a hour.

Assistant Manager: You will do all the duties that the sales associate will perform.   You will be in charge of doing various paperwork, opening and closing the store when the manager isn’t around, as well as reporting any problems to the main manager.   The average assistant manager gets paid $9 to $11 a hour.

Backroom / Merchandising:   Working in the back of the store, you’re going to assist with unloading trucks, unpacking boxes as well as pricing the merchandise.   You’re going to organize the backroom as well as make sure that all of the merchandise is free of defects and more.   The average wage for someone with this position will be anywhere from $8 to $11 per hour.

Store Manager:   The store manager is going to be in charge of the whole store.   You’re going to run according to the corporate plan.   You’ll meet with district managers, managers in your area as well as attend meetings and conference calls.   You’re going to help assist with payroll, file paperwork as well as   make sure that all of the employees and customers are happy.   If there are any problems that do come about, you’ll have to report to the district manager in order to get them fixed.   The average wage for this position starts at $13 per hour.
