Happy Joe’s first store was opened in the Village of East Davenport on November 16, 1972. Not long after the restaurant opened and the unusual Happy Joe’s concept was beginning to blossom.

Job Description/ Wage Averages

Sales Manager: The sales manager is responsible in ensuring that the sales goals of the company will be attained as planned; direct the sales team in order for them to meet sales quotas; help the sales staff perform their duties and responsibilities accordingly; report the sales projects and other sales plans to the company head. The expected annual salary ranges $38K to $42K.

Assistant Managers: Assistant managers will assist the managers in supervising the store. He/She may also plan and direct the activities of the store; help in hiring and training employees and in performing the daily tasks in the store. He/She will also perform other tasks and duties in the absence of the manager. The hourly salary is $11.

Sales: This person takes charge of generating sales for the store; he responds to customer inquiries about the products and services; helps the customers get the product they need and may do product demonstration as well; introduce upsells and other promotions. The expected hourly salary is $10.
