Job Description/Wage Averages

Hostess: The host or hostess of Zio’s Italian Kitchen will oversee and organize the activities of the dining room in the restaurant; Specifically, the duties and responsibilities include making sure that all menus are wiped down, free of spots or stains and complete; ensuring that the restaurant is clean and inviting; checking restaurant reservations; planning out reservations; entertaining guest and visitors and performing other duties relevant to restaurant operations.   The average wage starts at $8 per hour.

Restaurant Manager: This person is the head of the restaurant and is responsible for overseeing or managing the whole restaurant’s operations.   He/She will also hire and train employees, plan for the activities of the restaurant and direct workers to perform their duties and responsibilities accordingly.   The average wage starts at $13 per hour.

Cashier : This also works to help provide friendly, prompt and accurate service to customers; greeting customers in the restaurant, taking and ringing up orders, handling payment from customers whether in cash or in credit card.   You’re going to also make sure that the customer was happy with his/her purchase. The average wage starts at $8 per hour.

Food Prep: This position is in charge in preparing and storing food ingredients, preparing food and beverage orders- checking to make sure they’re correct; package products, and maintaining a clean, safe work and dining environment.   The average wage starts at $8 per hour.

Server: This position is responsible in the dining room area and so he must have a dining room awareness and must ensure overall guest satisfaction.   You’re going to take orders, bring food out to the tables as well as make sure that the customers are happy with their food purchase.   The average wage starts at $3 per hour plus tips.
