Ruth Chris Steak’s humble beginnings can be traced with its first location in Broad Street in New Orleans in the year 1965 with its founder, Ruth Fertel. Now, it operates the over 100 restaurants across the country and around the world.

Job Description/Wage Averages

General Manager: The General Manager must have an ownership mentality resulting in operational excellence; models Hospitality and Delivers Service Excellence; identifies talent and develops potential; consistently delivers the highest quality food and beverage available; consistent execution of all systems, standards and processes. He/She must be financially responsible and accountable to results; performs nventory Balance and Control; acts as community relations representative and delivers new business opportunities.

Director of Communications: The duties of this position include: Reporting to the Chief Branding Officer and SVP, the  Director of Communications and Strategic Partnerships is responsible for developing and driving the implementation of the Company’s communications/public relations, local restaurant marketing and strategic partnerships strategies. The position will evaluate and shape the strategies related to internal and external communication and key brand partnerships, as well as direct all efforts to grow and/or create ancillary revenue centers.   The Director will work closely with cross-functional and cross-divisional teams to ensure consistent messaging and strategies, including brand marketing, finance, and operations. The position will also spearhead the development of strategic and integrated marketing programs targeting customers at the local level, and will communicate and train local restaurant managers on such programs.   This individual will work closely with key business leaders in capture, sales and business development to drive execution of innovative marketing programs.   The Director will also directly oversee the Manager of Catering and Corporate Accounts and the National Satellite Program Administrator.

Sous Chef: This person must posses exceptionally service oriented, proven developer of people; 2-3 years leadership in fine dining or similar environment; maintain professional image; focus on highest quality of food, standards, sanitation & safety; perform inventory control (food & product cost).

Restaurant Manager: This person must posses leadership presence and involvement in Shift Management; models Hospitality and Delivers Service Excellence; develops staff and peers; must posses inspirational leadership leading to operational excellence, deliver the highest quality of food and beverage products; consistently execute of all systems, standards and processes; perform inventory control (food & product cost).
