History of GameWorks

GameWorks is an entertainment venue that offers video games, simulators, prizes, and a full line of bar and restaurant service. It started witht the joint venture of Universal Studios, Sega and Dream Works SKG. In October of 2011, GameWorks acquired the assets of a several Jillian’s Billiards Clubs in California, Washington, and Virginia. It operates a total of 7 GameWorks venues throughout the U.S.The company is based in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Job Description/Wage Averages

Host: This person is in charge of greeting and communicating every Guest, providing the guests with any assistance they may need and answering any questions they may have. This person makes sure that the guests are satisfied with the services of the restaurant.   The average wage for this position can start at $8 per hour.

Dish Washer: Ensure that all dishes, glasses, utensils and equipment are cleaned, sanitized and stored properly.   The average wage for this position can start at $8 per hour.

Busser: This person stocks the restaurant with glassware, dishware, etc. ; polishes and stocks restaurant with silverware; ensure clean linen is on the table when resetting them; fills ice bins with ice; carry bus tubs to Dishwasher ;clean up spills and assists the servers.     The average wage for this position can start at $8 per hour.

Prep Cook: Prepare/cook food for guests; ensure that all equipment, utensils and working areas are maintained for cleanliness; coordinate prep amounts with managers, follow recipe instructions, use checklists and prep sheets, responsible for following safe food handling guidelines.   The average wage for this position can start at $8 to $10 per hour.

Cook : This position is responsible in preparing food using the restaurant   specifications in a timely manner. He/She must observe the guidelines for food safety standards including proper food preparation.   The average wage for this position can start at $8 per hour.

Server: This position has the responsibilities of requesting or taking orders from and serve food to guests; checking on guest satisfaction and handling the payment and complaints/concerns of customers. He/She must have the knowledge of service techniques, food and beverage product and practices of responsible alcohol service.   The average wage for this position can start at $2 per hour, plus tips.
