History of Pizza Express

Pizza Express was founded in the year 1948 by Mr. Peter Boizot, MBE , he tasted is first pizza creation in Florence. When he returns in London in 1960s, he realized that United Kingdom lacks a pizza worthy of its name. He has his point of view that a good tasting pizza should be cooked authentically just like those that he have tasted some part of Europe. With what he wanted, he is certain that he will likely to to be needing an oven capable to reach the necessary high temperature.

It has finally obtained, the first oven of Pizza Express that was brought in London coming with an operator.   It is set up and used in the first Pizza   Express Restaurants located in Wardour, Street, London’s Soho. The business is a hit as they were able to open another branch in the year 1967.The second restaurant is located in Coptic Street, Bloomsbury.

Pizza Express is one of UK’s renown successful restaurant business. It could be stated on February 1993, London Stock Exchange. Three years after, the franchised branches were bought back by the company to ensure great strength in business race. Through this works, the total restaurants was counted for over 300 breaches spread all over UK and Ireland. Continuously up to the moment, the company and its people is serving   16 million people in a single year.
