Job Description/Wage Averages
Commissary Lead: Responsible for performing functions for Catering & Food Services while complying with Park policies, Health Code regulations, and cost/inventory control standards. Follow standard recipes to perform on-site cooking and carving responsibilities. Assist with recipe and menu development. Interview, train, supervise, and schedule staff. Order commissary supplies and keep accounting records. Ensure food is cooked in the proper quantities according to recipe requirements and number of persons to be served; deliver food at required temperatures. Follow designated cleaning schedules to create and maintain a clean and sanitary working environment.
Food Service Lead: Maintain sanitation, cleanliness, safety, and food standards in compliance with health department and ensure adherence by all team members. Manage food and operating supply inventory including stock levels, rotation, marking of food stock, and effective waste control. Ensure food is cooked in the proper quantities according to recipe requirements and number of guests to be served; deliver food at required temperatures and safety guidelines. Train, develop, and evaluate Assistant Lead and team members, providing them with the information, tools, and feedback necessary to do their job effectively. Ensure food locations provide a consistent and high level of guest service. Partner with departmental leadership to create and maintain location-specific employee relations and sales incentive programs.
Railroad Attraction Conductor: Greet guests as they arrive to the railroad attraction. Check guests for tickets or wristbands for entrance to the attraction. Converse with guests and provide information about the railroad and/or the Park. Ride the train with guests and make announcements over the PA system. Assist with safety inspections and cleaning the trains.
Educational Interpreter-Cashier: Provide entertaining, educational, and historical interpretation to guests and visiting school groups at the Antebellum Plantation complex. Maintain and represent various historical themes in costume and presentation. Perform structured and unstructured interpretative interaction and programs about a variety of Plantation features and activities of the period. Participate in interpretive program development. Assist with customer service and crowd control. Assist with light maintenance and cleaning as needed.
Sky Hike Attendant: Verify use of tickets, wristbands, or season passes. Ensure proper use of harness or other safety equipment prior to allowing guests to enjoy the attraction. Instruct guests on safety procedures. Assist guests on and off ropes course, rock climbing wall, line bridges, and zip line. Inspect, repair, and maintain ropes course equipment. Maintain a clean working environment clear of debris and hazardous objects. Participate in emergency rescue training.
Server: Greet guests as they are seated for their meal at our full-service restaurant, Miss Katie’s. Take food and drink orders and serve orders in a quick, friendly, and hospitable manner. Interact with guests and answer any questions pertaining to the restaurant or the Park. Follow all cashier procedures in accordance with policy. Help maintain cleanliness of restaurant. The hourly rate is $3.
