History of Harry and David

Founded back in 1910, Harry and David today can be found throughout various shopping malls throughout the United States.   They specialize in many items ranging from candies, to frozen goods, as well as gift baskets.   They are well known for their, “Fruit of the Month Club”, as well as their own branded items.   They have more than 140 stores in more than 39 states.

Job Description / Average Wage

Sales Associate: As a team member here, you’re going to be in charge of helping customers, as they come into the store.   You will help them with products, as well as help them ring up at the cash register.   You will help price stock, stock it on the shelves, as well as make sure that the store remains 100% clean.   The average wage is around $7 to $10 a hour.

Inventory:   Working in inventory, you’re going to be in charge of unloading the trucks.   Your duty will be to make sure that all of the boxes that come through are undamaged and if there are, you will send them back to corporate.   You’re going to bring all the boxes to the front of the store as well as make sure that the floor is stocked according to plan.   If any associates need help with their inventory, you will do your best to assist them.   The average wage can be anywhere from $7 to $9 per hour.

Key Holder:   As a key holder, you will answer to the main manager.   Your sole responsibilities will be to open up the store as well as close it.   You will also be in charge of running a whole shift when the main manager isn’t in as well.   The average wage for this position starts at $9 per hour.

Assistant Manager / Supervisor: As an assistant manager, you will help open up the store, when the main manager isn’t in the shop.   You will help assign tasks, as well as perform many of the various duties that the team members perform.   You will also help the manager with paperwork, etc.   The average wage starts at $9+ a hour.
