History of Badcock Furniture

The W.S. Badcock Corporation is one of the prime privately owned home furniture retailers in the United States. Established in 1904, they have been operating for 104 years. It is headquartered in Mulberry, Florida, and pays over 1,200 corporate workers. There are more than 300 Badcock stores in eight states which present customers a complete variety of furniture, bedding, appliances, electronics, accessories as well as floor coverings.

In 2000, they expanded a new store model entitled Badcock and that comprises a product line of over 4,000 items, a brighter, extra spacious store display and a new logo. Job Description/Average Wage

Dealer Advisor: This position will be responsible for consulting and directing associate dealers and other staff to accomplish high levels of performance to preserve company standards and obey with the company policies. He/She implements organized and supervised performance goals and achievement plans to embrace training and development at all store within an allocated country.

Education Required: High School – Diploma/GED Preferred: Associate Degree

The average wage for this job is $17.05 an hour.

Instructional Designer: This position will be responsible for working separately and with subject matter experts to author, design, apply and estimate learning solutions to boost individual and organizational performance.

Education Required: Bachelors Degree in linked discipline

The average wage for a unit instructional designer is $39,833 a year.

Traveling Appliance Service Representative: This position will be liable for, but not restricted to: Involves broad travel to stores consigned, this position requires working with the dealer and sales associates concerning sales training of appliance and electronic products as well as extensive warranties. He/She is also required to help stores with the entire features of appliance, electronics, lawn and garden product familiarity, service and sales.

Education Required: Minimum High School Diploma/GED Preferred: 1 year of College or Technical School

The average wage for this job is $15.86 an hour.
