Job Description/Wage Average
Sales Manager: This manager is responsible in managing the sales of a company towards achieving its sales goals. His/her responsibility includes managing staff members in his/her department and come up with a strategic plan that will improve the company’s sales. In managing staff members, this person must see to it that the performance of each member under his/her authority will be able to achieve sales goals as well as perform in accordance to what the company asks them to do. This manager should have an effective approach in using manpower so that staff members will be able to perform efficiently. In coming up with a strategic plans for sales, one must be able to have expert knowledge in marketing techniques as well as study the overall business operation of the company. The annual wage average for this position ranges from $33,000 to $65,000.
Catering Manager: Responsible for selling event space as well as food and beverages offered by the hotel. One must be able to relate the needs of the clients in setting up events to the capability of the hotel/event space to host such. One must be able to have experience in different kinds of celebrations, parties and events to be able to present the services to interested clients. To be able to do so, one will let the clients tour the place, present menu options, amenities and decors that the hotel offers. When transactions has been settled it is the manager’s responsibility to create or check floor plans, set up food tastings, coordinate with clients and event planners as well as note other activities needed to set up an event. The annual wage average for this position ranges from $42,000 to $44,000.
Front Desk Manager: This manager is responsible in taking charge of the functions of the front desk. He/She will train personnels that will cater to the questions, informations and other related needs of the clients. This person is also hires and fires employees for the area. As a front desk manager, he/she will ensure that the daily operations of the area runs properly. Such activities in the front desk are answering questions, taking calls and welcoming guest. Aside from daily activities in the area, this manager is also responsible in monitoring front desk finances, set schedules, participate in meetings with other managers and report manners to the director. The annual wage average for this position ranges from $25,000 to $34,000.
Bartender: A bartender is a person that serves alcoholic beverages in a bar. Such alcoholic beverages include beer, wine and cocktails. A bartender must know several types of different drinks mixes of these drinks as well different recipes for cocktails. They also serve non alcoholic beverages and mix this kind of beverages with alcohol ones. They also take payment from customers and do inventory of liquor, glassware and other supplies. The hourly wage average for this position ranges from $6 to $7.
