History of Limited Brands

Limited Brands is based in Columbus, Ohio and was formerly known as The Limited, Inc. It is and American apparel company that started in 1980. As the year passed by, this company was able to purchase several companies like Victoria’s Secret, 207 Lane Bryant stores in 1982, Henri Bendel and Lerner in 1985, Abercrombie & Fitch in 1988 and phased out its ownership in 1996 when it was spun off into a publicly-traded company. Other stores developed with the company are Bath & Body Works Limited Too, Structure, and Victoria’s Secret beauty. In 2009, Limited brands reported 9.04 billion dollars in revenue.
