Popeyes is a fried chicken fast food restaurant that opened its doors in 1972. It is owned by Al Copeland when it opened and has been acquired by AFC Enterprises since 1993. They currently have 1,800 stores in the United States and operates in 21 countries around the world. It was believed that the name of the restaurant was taken from the cartoon character Popeye the sailor man but the owner said they got it from The French Connection Jimmy “Popeye” Doyle.

Popeyes manager is responsible in managing or leading the staff in a particular store and provide the necessary assistance to improve sales and brand name of the company. You are accountable in making day to day decisions that concerns the whole store which includes equipment checking and maintenance to identify if any thing needs servicing.

Fast food is generally accessible to the public and the number of customers walking in may be more than average. A manager needs to see that all of the customers needs are met and provide additional assistance if required.

General Manager

• Salary: An average salary a general manager gets can range from $31,000 to $57,000 with experience factored in.
• Bonuses: Although a handsome pay is offered, no additional pay is given to general managers.
• Profit Sharing: Usually, employees in this position are not given the capability to share profits.
• Stock Options: Like profit sharing, employees do not get options for stocks.

Shift Manager

• Bonuses: Aside from the basic pay, employees are not entitled to get any bonuses from the company.
