Wawa is a series of convenience stores and gas stations operating in the Mid Atlantic region for the United States. They are currently headquartered in Chester Heights, Pennsylvania. The first Wawa store opened in 1964 in Folsom, Pennsylvania and they currently have over 500 stores.

Being in the convenience store business, Wawa managers are assigned to perform a number of different tasks. They need to manage several aspects of the store from the staff to the items and the overall well being of the store. They need to evaluate employees for a certain period to make sure that they still work within the given standards.

The managers report directly to the upper management to provide information regarding the operations and to address any opportunities. Financial reports should also be sent as well as overall store evaluation. The managers should make sure that the store is clean and that all of the equipment used are in good working condition.

General Manager

• Salary: A General Manager is entitled to receive a salary range from $51,000 to $102,000. The longer the work experience, the greater the chance there is to get a bigger amount.
• Bonuses: A bonus structure is given, and it’s worth $5,000 to $30,000.
• Profit Sharing: Profit sharing is not an available option provided to the general manager.
• Stock Options: Stock options are offered to general managers and they can receive $1,500 to $2,000 worth of stocks.

Assistant Manager

• Salary: Assistant managers get an estimated $29,000 to $36,000 and the amount depends heavily on any work experience related to the field.
• Bonuses: Bonuses are offered by the company for this type of position and they get $957 to $1,034.
• Profit Sharing: Profit sharing is not part of the company’s salary package or benefit.
• Stock Options: Stock options are not offered to the assistant managers.

Fresh Food Manager

• Salary: Depending on the experience fresh food managers receive an annual salary of $36,000 to $40,000.
