History of America’s Tire

In 1960, Bruce T. Halle started the business with only six tires of which some are retreads with a showroom which was not actually that good enough and from then on, the company has grown and prospered.  Now, Discount Tire Company also known as America’s Tire has more than 800 stores in 23 states.   Bruce Halle is the man who coined the success for the company. He/She is a salesman, an inventor, a tire technician, an accountant, store computer, sign painter and even a cleaning crew of his store. Since 1960, this company has become the largest independent tire dealer.

Job Description/ Wages Ranges

Assistant Manager/Service Coordinator: This person is responsible in overseeing the overall operation of the store which includes skills supervision for efficient tire and wheel service, efficiently receiving, storing and selling tires, wheels and accessories, ensures that tire manufacturing is according to standards and safety and a lot more. The annual salary is within the range of $36K to $39K.

Tire Technician: He/She is responsible for the tire and wheel manufacturing, industry standards and safety. He/She will safely perform task related to mounting and installing tires and wheels according to standards.     You’ll meet with the customer before the service is rendered to make sure that they know what needs to be done in order to have the car working at 100% again.   The expected annual salary is $33K to $36K.

Sales: The person assigned in this job will be responsible for generating sales and sales leads. He/She has to perform computer-assisted selling and Intranet use, ensure customer awareness and service satisfaction. The usual salary ranges $9 to $10 an hour.

Production Tech Assistant: he will be working with the production team in manufacturing wheels and tires according to company standards. He/She works with the tire technician in tire mounting and installation and to perform other production duties assigned to him like inventory systems and quality control. The annual salary may range $34K to $36K.
