Job Description and Average Wage

Bakery Cake Decorator: The position decorates cakes, arranges, stocks, serves and merchandises bakery products to their customers and sustains their elevated standards of safety and sanitation. Examples of duties include but are not limited to decorating cakes per standard designs and customer demands. This receives and stores food products to sustain freshness. The position maintains the whole work area in a clean and sanitary condition. This role helps department bakery department manager in production as well as merchandising of bakery products.

The average salary is from $9-$12 per hour.

Cashier: A Cashier checks out customers’ groceries rapidly and precisely and/or sustains grocery department product stock levels. A Cashier follows all state laws regarding the sale of alcohol, tobacco or other restricted products. This sustains cheerful, welcoming attitude toward customers.

As a Cashier, you will receive an hourly wage of $14-$15.

Assistant Customer Service Manager: The position will effectively help the Store Director, Category Manager, and Customer Service Manager in general management duties and share accountability for the store’s operation and performance. The Assistant Customer Service Manager will help direct and manage all phases of store operations and personnel to attain sales and customer service goals established for the store.

Meat Manager: The Meat Manager will successfully direct and manage all activities of the Meat Department and its personnel to attain sales and customer service goals established for the department.  The Meat Manager is liable for the operation and supervision of the Meat Department and its workers.  This will serve as a role model and educator for providing better customer service.  The assigned person is accountable for coaching, acknowledging achievements, and evaluating customer service as well as sales tracking reports.

The annual salary for this position is around $38,000-$40,000

Merchandise Manager: The Merchandise Manager will effectively help the Store Director and Customer Service Manager in general management duties and share accountability for the store’s operation and performance. He/she is in charge for obtaining maximum sales and margins, controlling labor, shrink and other operating expenses, and guarantees that the store meets targeted projections and objectives through the effective consumption of personnel and resources obtainable.

The yearly salary is from $42,000-$48,000.
