General Store Manager

• Salary: General bookstore mangers at Borders are paid on a salary basis.   Depending on your experience, your salary is going to range from $42,000 to as much as $69,000 a year.
• Bonuses: Bonuses are given out, but they will vary on the store.   You should expect anywhere from $250 to $7,000 a year extra on an annual basis.
• Profit Sharing: Border’s generally will not participate with profit sharing.
• Stock Options: Since Border’s isn’t a public traded company, they don’t have any stock options to hand out.

Assistant Store Manager

• Salary: The assistant is paid on a salary basis.   Your salary is going to vary from $28,000 to as much as $44,000 a year.
• Bonuses: Generally, Border’s bookstores will only hand out bonuses to those that are in upper management.   As an assistant, you probably won’t receive any bonuses.
• Profit Sharing: Border’s generally will not participate with profit sharing.
• Stock Options: Since Border’s isn’t a public traded company, they don’t have any stock options to hand out.

• Sales Manager:   $29,000 to $40,000 a year
