The first Bruster’s started in 1989 at Bridgewater, Pennsylvania. It was opened by Bruce Reed after perfecting his recipe for rich, creamy homemade ice cream. From then, he had to expand to keep up with the growing demand for his ice creams while continually adhere to the guiding principles that have made Bruster’s the revered brand that it is today. The restaurant continue to make all our desserts, such as our cakes, pies, and waffle cones, as well as our ice creams, right.
Job Description/Wage Averages
Sales Associate: The position has the tasks to ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining the quality of the product and perform other aspects of customer service; he must also be aware of the promotions and advertisements; helps customers in finding the products they want to buy; and perform other tasks assigned from time to time by the manager. The average wage can start at around $8 per hour.
Ice Cream Scooper: The main responsibility of this position is scooping ice cream according to the standard quantity, handling cash, cleaning the ice cream display area and maintain customer relationships. The average wage can start at around $8 per hour.
Manager: The manager oversees the entire operation of the store. He/She must direct all the employees in performing their tasks according to company standards. He/She will also hire and train new employees, involve in strategic planning; must possess strong work ethic, positive attitude and ability to handle people. The average wage can start at around $11 per hour.
Server: The server takes and delivers orders to the customers. He/She must respond to the needs of the customers promptly and accurately. He/She must maintain rapport with the guest and must serve as a liaison to the restaurant in case the customer needs something. The average wage can start at around $2 per hour plus tips.
