The first Claim Jumper Restaurant was founded by Craig Nickoloff. He/She opened the original Claim Jumper Restaurant in Los Alamitos, California on September 27, 1977. The restaurant now operates 37 locations throughout Arizona, California, Illinois, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington.

Job Description/Wage Averages
Server: Serve guests quickly, efficiently, and with complete knowledge of food and beverage menus. He/She is to offer superior customer service, and maintain station in a clean and orderly manner throughout shifts and will merchandize food and beverage menus in an informative, friendly and enthusiastic manner. The average hourly rate is between $8 to $9.
Dishwasher: The dishwasher is going to have to assist with cleaning dishes, washing floors as well as making sure that the tables are kept clean. In your downtime, you’re going to help with assisting managers and other associates with any jobs that they need help with. The average wage for this particular position can start at $8 per hour.
Restaurant Manager: The General manager mans all restaurant operations, develops and coaches team members, builds sales and profit while maintaining high operating standards. He/She is accountable for the success of the restaurant by following the company’s guidelines, policies and procedures. The GM will also supervise and direct the team, make staffing decisions like hiring, training, evaluating, disciplining, terminating and scheduling and ensuring guest satisfaction and food quality, and manage safety and security within the restaurant. The annual salary is between $48k to $56k.
Host/Hostess: This position has duties that include supervising the activities of dining room and leading the dining room personnel to provide fast and courteous service to guests; scheduling of dining reservations; greeting and escorting the guests, providing menus; responding to complaints; and ensuring a clean and organized dining room. The hourly rate is in the average of $9.
Bartender: This position attends to the different task in the bar area. He/She has to prepare beverages according to the company standards as well as customer preferences. He/She must ensure a clean and well organized bar area and must work to satisfy customers. The annual salary ranges $37k to $40k.
