Clear Channel Communications, Inc. was founded in 1972 by Red McCombs and Lowry Mays and was taken private in 2008 by Bain Capital LLC and Thomas H. Lee Partners LP. It is an American media corporation that specializes in concert promotion and hosting, radio broadcasting, and fixed advertising not just in the United States but all throughout its branches in several locations. Its headquarters is located in San Antonio, Texas.
