History of Coffee Beanery

Coffee Beanery’s first store in United States started in 1976. For more than 30 years, Coffee Beanery continued to build its brand and franchise organization founded on the philosophy that is tested through time which include offering exceptional coffee, a warm relaxing environment, and a corporate culture necessary for success. Coffee Beanery has over 100 locations throughout the U.S. and 20 international locations.

The corporate headquarters is at Flushing, Michigan where all of the hand-selected beans are roasted, flavored and packaged, and the area also serves as warehousing and distribution center.

Job Descriptions/ Wage Averages

Barista: The key responsibilities of barista includes: providing quality beverages for all customers; maintaining quality store operations; contributing to store profitability; and taking full responsibilities of learning other tasks in barista position.   You’re going to help assist the customers with their order as well as make sure that they are satisfied with their experience in the beanery.   The average wage starts at $8+ per hour.

Junior Chef: This person is the in charge of menu revision of all the Coffee beanery stores. Other duties and responsibilities include coming up with new food, drinks (coffee and non-coffee) and pastries for promos; perform regularly check, audit and monitor quality and standard of all The Coffee Beanery items; conducting product demo and briefings.   The average wage for a chef is going to start at $8 per hour.

Supervisor:   The supervisor will oversee all activities when the main store manager isn’t in store.   You’re going to be responsible for opening up the coffee shop, close it down as well as make sure that everything is being ran in an orderly fashion.   The average wage for this position is going to start at $9 per hour.

Store Manager: The store manager oversees the whole operation of the store; ensures that employees are working according to the company standards; plans for the sales techniques; hires and trains employees and monitors employees performance; sees to it that the company is working for its goals.   The average wage can start at $11 per hour.
