Dave and Buster sprung out as the combination of two different concepts from Buster who owned a restaurant business and Dave who run an entertainment business located next to Buster’s restaurant. Job Description/Wage Averages
Host/Hostess: This person has the following responsibilities: driving table turn timing by scouting open tables, bussing, and cleaning tables as necessary; rotating seating appropriately following guidelines to ensure fairness and balance in the dining areas; managing flow from the front doors, efficiently helping guests with needs and directing as needed; managing wait times and communicates information as needed to guests, Team Members, and managers; managing silverware as guests are seated.
Front Desk: This position makes timely and accurate calculations of bill transactions; greets and assists guests efficiently and with a smile while processing transactions. He/She is responsible for the reconciliation of any monies from their banks; completing To Go order transactions for guests and ensures accuracy; selling merchandise from the Front Desk, if applicable.
Restaurant Manager: The manager must set pace and tone for the shift. He/She motivates staff to achieve; assists in the on boarding process of interviewing and hiring quality candidates to increase retention and morale; recognizes employee strengths and opportunities to craft developmental lessons; takes ownership and responsibility for development of staff through communication, documentation, and evaluation; provides motivation to team through active learning opportunities. Develops a strong teamwork environment; conducts meetings; maintains a positive working relationship with all company team members, fostering and promoting cooperative, harmonious work environment keeping morale, productivity, and efficiency high; builds rapport with all team members through active listening and problem solving skills; holds self to a higher standard, being a role model at all times; ensures the integrity of manager training programs and supports new manager’s growth.
Wait staff: Ensures guests have an unparalleled experience by providing fast, friendly service and being attentive to guests’ needs.
Amusement manager: Assists in the on boarding process of interviewing and hiring quality candidates to increase retention and morale; recognizes employee strengths and opportunities to craft developmental lessons; takes ownership and responsibility for development of staff through communication, documentation, and evaluation; executes block training program to encourage staff development and block progression; maintains a positive working relationship with all company team members, fostering and promoting cooperative, harmonious work environment keeping morale, productivity, and efficiency high; provides motivation to team through active learning opportunities; develops a strong teamwork environment; conducts meetings; ensures the integrity of manager training programs and supports new manager’s growth.
