Job Description/Wage Averages
Cashier: This position has the tasks of greeting every guest that comes in the restaurant; must handle cash properly, accurately and in a timely manner; must ensure that guests are thanked after they have paid their bills. The average wage can start at around $8 per hour.
Dishwasher: The dishwasher is going to assist with cleaning down tables, washing floors as well as cleaning dishes. You’ll also be in charge of cleaning pots, pans and more. The average wage can start at around $8 per hour.
Manager: This position oversee all functions of the restaurant operations including opening, mid and closing shifts and other key operation activities of the company. He/She must be able to coordinate staff and resources in a high volume environment; must possess strong sales building skills, knowledge of profit and loss, excellent communication skills, and a positive, results oriented attitude. The average wage can start at around $13 per hour.
Host/Hostess: This person oversee activities of dining room for the personnel to provide fast and courteous service to guests; arranging of dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for diners. He/She has the responsibilities to greet guests, escorts them to tables, and provides menus; respond to complaints; assign work tasks and coordinate activities of dining room personnel to ensure prompt and courteous services; inspect dining room serving stations to ensure neatness and cleanliness. The average wage can start at around $8 per hour.
Busser: The duties and responsibilities of the person in this position include: organizing restaurant with glassware, dishware, etc.; polishing and stocking restaurant with silverware; ensuring clean linen is on the table when resetting them; leaning up spills and must adhere to work standards and company guidelines to achieve guests’ satisfaction. The average wage can start at around $8 per hour.
