Job Description / Average Wage

Customer Service Rep: You’re going to work in the call centers assisting customers with any problems that they encounter.   The problems that you will incur are problems with their receiver, the dish itself, and more.   You will help with new accounts, as well as transfer them to the appropriate department.   This job itself pays anywhere from $10 to $15 a hour.

Customer Retention Agent:   This position is fairly close to the customer service rep, but what you’re going to find is that your sole responsibility is to ensure that the customer stays with the company.   Since many customers will want to cancel their service, it’s going to be your job to offer promotions, upgrades and more.   This is a great way to keep the customers from leaving.   This position will pay anywhere from $11 to $19 per hour.

Team Leader: You’re going to overlook the customer service representatives in your department.   You will also assist them with phone calls as well, where you will help with particular cases, and more.   You will also do miscellaneous paperwork, and answer to the main supervisor of the department / call center.   The average wage is $11+ a hour.

Install Technician: You will be called out to houses where you will do various activities.   You will set up new accounts, install new cable boxes, and more.   You will fill out the appropriate paperwork, as well as make sure that the customer is happy.   You will report back to the call center, if there is a main problem / issue.   The average wage is $9+ a hour.
