Drury Inn’s humble beginnings can be traced in 1940’s on a small farm at Kelso Missouri. The first Drury Inn started in Sikeston, Missouri. The Drury brothers, the owners had learned that you have to provide the customers more than what they could get to keep them coming back-cleaner rooms, friendlier team members, and extras without any cost.
With continued quest to innovation, in 1986, Drury became the first system of hotels to offer Free QUIKSTART ® Breakfast. More improvements followed with the first indoor/outdoor pool in 1995, Free Evening Beverages & Snacks rolled out in 1998, Free High-Speed Internet in 2002, Free HOT! QUIKSTART ® Breakfast in 2003, Free Long Distance Calls in 2004, Free Wireless Internet in 2007, and the Free 5:30 Kickback ® with Hot Food and Cold Beverages in 2009. Job Description/Wage Averages
Area Sales Manager: Under general direction, plans and conducts sales activities to sell guest rooms and meeting facilities in a geographic area by following Drury Sales Procedures in order to build hotel occupancy and revenues for Drury Hotels. Responsible for achieving the revenue goals set forth by the Regional Sales Manager and Vice President of Sales and Marketing. An average of 80% of time is devoted to customer contact.
Assistant General Manager: Under general supervision, assists the General Manager in managing the hotel in a manner that will maintain high standards of service and hospitality consistent with the policies and procedures set forth by Drury Hotels Company, LLC.
Executive Housekeeper: Under general direction, manages the housekeeping and laundry services of the hotel in a manner which will maintain high standards of service and hospitality consistent with the policies and procedures set forth by Drury Hotels Company, LLC, and the management of the hotels. To plan, organize, motivate and control the housekeeping functions necessary to provide our guests with top-quality, clean accommodations.
Bartender: Under general supervision, according to policy, serves cocktails, beer, wine, soft drinks, and also prepares popcorn and/or some other snack. Greets guests and answers questions to maintain a positive image.
Breakfast Host/Hostess: This position prepares the QUIKSTART ® Breakfast for guests following Company policies and procedures. Maintains the breakfast / lobby area in a clean and neat manner, and assists guests with breakfast service (i.e., serving coffee, clearing trays, etc.) Greets guests, and answers questions to maintain high levels of service.
Guest Service Assistant: Under immediate supervision, assists our guests efficiently, courteously and professionally in all Front Desk related functions to maintain a high standard of service and hospitality at all times.
