Job Description/Wage Averages
Yardman: Under general supervision, is responsible for coal yard operational aspects including aspects including personnel and equipment safety during the shift. Insures proper startup and operation of conveyors, crushers, mobile equipment, and balance of material unloading and handling equipment. Makes tours in the material services areas to inspect equipment, trouble shoot equipment, clean perform preventative maintenance tasks, and correct problems. Performs mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical maintenance activities. Cleans work areas and equipment. Changes oil and lubricating equipment. Does yard and ground maintenance work. Must be able to read, comprehend, inspect, calculate, count, retain, and make sound decisions. Perform other similar or less skilled work, direct and train employees assigned to work with him/her.
Production Team Member: This position is responsible for operations, maintenance, and balance of plant functions required at the Kit Carson Wind Farm. The successful candidate, will assist the Site Manager oversee vendor contractual obligations and activities, land owner agreements, and ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Upon expiration of Vendor O&M and Warranty agreements, will troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical wind turbine generator malfunctions. Performs a variety of administrative duties as well as responsible for EH&S and other relevant compliances. Requires basic computer skills utilizing word processing, spreadsheets, email programs, facility control and management systems, and computerized diagnostic and troubleshooting tools. Perform turbine pad mounted transformer switching in accordance with all Lock Out/Tag Out procedures. Perform operations, planned maintenance, and unplanned maintenance on sub-station equipment. Supervise technicians and other contractor activities as appropriate.
Support Team Member: Under indirect supervision, in a team atmosphere, this position is responsible for operational and maintenance support aspects including personnel and equipment safety. Must ensure maintenance of the station boilers, steam turbines and generators including associated process and environmental equipment. In addition, must maintain the balance of plant equipment, station switchyards, and electrical distribution systems. Inspect plant equipment, correct problems, and perform mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation troubleshooting and maintenance activities. This position requires skilled and complex work in connection with the testing, inspection, calibration, maintenance and repair of station gauges, meters, DCS and PLC controls and instruments.
Material Trainee: Under indirect supervision, perform duties in Material Management Facilities including, but not limited to, shipping, receiving, storing, issuing and inventory of parts, materials and equipment. Record all transactions. Load, unload and transport parts, materials and equipment and perform other duties as assigned.
