Easter Seals Job Application
For more than 90 years, Easter Seals has been devoted its services helping individuals with disabilities and special needs. It offers diverse services through child development centers to physical rehabilitation and job training for people with disabilities.
It was in 1907 when Edgar Allen, a businessman in Ohio lost his child due to a car accident. The insufficient medical equipment has been the cause why his son was not saved; this is the reason why he sold his businesses to establish a hospital at Elyria, Ohio. Then, because of the hospital, Allen learned that there are children with disabilities whose needs should be attended. So, in 1919 Allen founded what became known as the National Society for Crippled Children. The organization launched its first Easter “seals” campaign to raise money for its services.
At present, Easter Seals offers help to more than a million children and adults living with autism and other disabilities. The services and support are provided by the means of a network of more than 550 sites in the U.S. and through Ability First Australia.
