Furr was founded by brothers Roy and Key Furr and the first Furr’s restaurant was opened in 1946, in Hobbs, NM, and the second in Odessa, TX, in 1947. This beginnings spring out into over 54 Furr’s Family Dining and Furr’s Fresh Buffet locations Western and southern states.

Job Description/Wage Averages
Cook : The cook has to cooperate with the rest of the cooks in making the foods. Cooks have to be skilled in attractive serving of food. All the items in the menu have to be cooked and each cook has to perform his part well. Cooks have to maintain a high sense of hygiene in the kitchen as well as personally. The average wage can start at around $8 per hour.
Line Cook: The line cook is will set up the work station, prep items for service, clean the station and may also perform general duties like cleaning kitchen equipment, organize produce delivery, train a new cook and perform complete inventory. The average wage can start at around $8 per hour.
Dishwasher: This person is responsible in ensuring that all dishes, glasses, utensils and equipment are cleaned, sanitized and stored to clean place. Your duties may also include wiping down tables, cleaning and mopping floors, assisting with the kitchen staff as well as more. The average wage can start at around $8 per hour.
Cashier : A cashier must be skillful in operating the cash register. He/She may also double as a receptionist; he should know how to process cash payments and non-cash payments. He/She should be able to deal with the customers about the other payment options available to them. The average wage can start at around $8 per hour.
