In 1959, the company became a national trend-setter by launching a premier design studio inside a furniture store.

Job Description/Wage Ranges
Guest Services: This person is responsible for processing pending customer orders and customer returns, verifying inventory status, scheduling pick-ups and deliveries; processing cash, check and credit card transactions and finance paperwork; balancing books and determines deposit. He/She also answers incoming phone lines and assesses caller’s needs and contacts appropriate person by using paging system or directing the caller to internal departments; operates and maintains cookie shop while complying with health department standards and procedures; includes baking cookies and making coffee for customers; prepares memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents for all showroom staff; collects and distributes mail, faxes, and messages. The hourly rate is $8.
Delivery Assistant: The person in charge assists delivery driver and rides in a truck to deliver products and renders services and collects money from customers and makes change. The hourly rate is $10.
Repair Technicians: The Furniture Repair Technician handles the repairing of damaged product in our warehouse, as well as repairing product within customer’s homes. This individual must be able to manage multi-task assignments, work independently, and perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Interior Designer: This person embraces and takes personal ownership of Gabberts Brand to deliver exceptional service in support of the company’s clients needs and desires; uses professional design skills to create and implement plans for coordinating furniture, carpeting; discusses interior design ideas and provides advice at retail to customers using customer focused selling principles. This person uses selling techniques address the clients’ needs and desires. He/She also coordinates with internal and external partners to ensure the full complement of Gabberts services and those of the Design Community.
Design Consultant: He/She strives to enhance the customer experience and is dedicated to creating beautiful rooms. Demonstrates effective professional relationship selling skills to assist Gabberts customers with their home furnishings needs and projects, being the main point of contact, while partnering with internal customers to ensure the customer’s needs are met and company goals are achieved; builds a sustainable Book of Business to surpass Written Sales Goals.
