History of Gold’s Gym

Gold’s Gym International is the most recognized name in fitness, helping people achieve life’s bests.   The Gold’s Gym story began when Joe Gold opened a fitness center in Venice Beach California for over 45 years ago. Presently, it has 600 locations internationally. Gold’s Gym offers the latest cardio and strength training equipment with a dynamic exercise program that includes classes like yoga, group cycling, mixed martial arts, muscle endurance training and pilates.

Job Description/Wage Averages

Front Desk: The front desk is the key personnel who will first cater the guests and walk in customers’ needs. He/She will also answer questions related to the products and services of the company. He/She has to help the clients find the services they need. The salary is $7 to $11 per hour.   The average wage for this position can start at $8 per hour.

Janitorial:   You’ll be responsible for making sure that the locker rooms stay clean.   You’re going to vacuum, mop the floors as well as make sure that the showers are kept clean.   You’ll also assist with wiping down the weight equipment and assist other associates with various duties.   The average wage for this position can start at $8 per hour.

Sales Associates: The sales representative is in charge in getting company sales. He/She contacts clients who would like to avail the services of the fitness center and cater all the client’s needs and inquiries. The annual salary is in the average of   $45K.

Personal Trainer: The personal trainer is to instruct and coach both groups and individuals in various exercises and activities.  He/She will motivate clients and team members; assist clients in doing exercises; identify specific training needs; apply first aid procedures; construct instructional programs; lead various recreational activities; monitor and communicate client progress; demonstrate each physical activity. The hourly rate is $16.

Assistant Manager: The person in the position will assist the manager in managing all the activities in the fitness center; he is also in charge of directing the company employees and guide them to reach the company objectives; perform evaluation for employees and check on whether the company has provided excellent services to the clientele.   The average wage for this position can start at $14 per hour.
