History of Great Wolf Lodge

Great Wolf Lodge is the largest family of indoor water park resorts that is headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin. It was founded by Jack and Andrew “Turk” Waterman, the original owners of Noah’s Ark water park. The first Great Wolf Lodge location opened in 1997 in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. The resort features specialty restaurants, arcades, spas, fitness rooms and children’s activity areas.

Job Description/Wage Averages

Accounting Clerk: This position will prepare the daily report, including daily revenue, advance deposits, and cash and credit card transaction activities; ensure that daily cash deposit is made daily; maintain and monitor the Daily Deposit Witness Log; empty all miscellaneous revenue outlets periodically throughout the month; provide basic cash control guidance to new employees as part of Day One; issue banks and keys to new employees; maintain the Cancelled Reservations with balances; assist in solving guest concerns/billing errors/credit card dispute; protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential; accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Ambassador of Fun: The duties include: conducting branded edutainment experiences at the Lodge; maintaining a safe, clean environment in Cub Club room and other Lodge areas where a branded edutainment experience is conducted; ensuring that all Cub Club experiences are performed consistently according to Family Tradition procedures; delivering outstanding guest service and creates a branded fun environment during Cub Club experiences; participating in mascot training, wear mascot costume and perform mascoting duties to support guest experiences.

Arcade Attendant: This position will serve the guests in the arcade. He/She is responsible for the promotion of a safe workplace which is achieved by understanding the obligations listed in the Occupational Health & Safety Act; maintain the daily operation of the Arcade/Mini-Putt within the guidelines of retail operating procedures; assists guests with change, redeeming tickets for prizes, and all courtesy transactions throughout the Arcade/Mini-Putt. Always performing these duties with a courteous smile.

Baker: This person should have willingness to accept the most effective role. He/She prepares dough by measuring ingredients; mixing ingredients to form dough; cutting dough into portions; molding dough into loaves or desired shapes; bakes dough by adjusting drafts or thermostatic controls to regulate oven temperature; cools baked goods by removing from oven; placing on cooling racks; removing from pans; improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes; keeps supplies ready by inventorying ingredients; requisitioning supplies; verifying receipt; updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading baking publications; maintains personal networks; enhances baking department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Barista: This person will maintain daily operations of the Starbucks within the operating guidelines of what Starbucks and Great Wolf Lodge set as their standards; assist in setting the store during promotions, stocking it during slow times, maintaining a clean operation both in the cafe and behind the bar, inventory receiving, and maintaining Starbucks beverage making standards; assure that the store is fully stocked and set up at the close of every shift for the incoming team.

Cook: You will professionally prepares foods that meet company’s expectations for flavor, aroma, visual appeal and cost effectiveness. Safely uses kitchen equipment; prepare foods from standard recipes; measure and maintain food quality throughout the service period. Stores and holds foods according to standards and safe food handling.

Dishwasher: He/She provides, supplies and maintains cooking utensil and equipment; maintains clean work environment for all aspects of the kitchen.
