Hawaiian Airlines was incorporated on January 30, 1929. It then under the name Inter-Island Airways Ltd. The fleet was comprised of two eight-passenger Sikorsky S-38 amphibian planes; after 6 years, larger 16-passenger Sikorsky S-43s were added to accommodate increased traffic and newly authorized inter-island airmail service.
In 1941, its name was changed to Hawaiian Airlines having the 24-passenger DC-3 into Hawaiian skies which became the mainstay of the company’s fleet and became vital during wartime operations when all inter-island traffic was placed under military control. In 1966, the company added the first pure jet inter-island aircraft, the McDonnell Douglas DC-9. Then, Conde Nast Traveler to rate us one of the word’s safest airlines in 1990. In 2001, the delivery of 13 new Boeing 717-200 aircraft that would completely replace our DC-9 fleet. In 2002 and 2003, the company completely replaced the widebody DC-10 fleet with 14 Boeing 767-300ER aircraft. Even more recently, we added our first long-range Airbus A330-200 aircraft in April 2010 (with plans to add 27 more by the end of the decade).
At present, Hawaiian Airlines carries an average 8 million customers a year and serves 20 domestic and international destinations in the Pacific region.

Customer Service Rep: The tasks of this person are: Checking-in passengers and baggage; creating reservations and ticketing of passengers; preparing manifests and air bills; giving information and promoting sales to passengers; accounting for cash and charge transactions; auditing and correcting of sales reports and cash receipt summaries; verifying fare and rate changes on tickets, air bills and excess baggage receipts; balancing daily cash transactions; preparing daily journal entries and various reports; operating such machines as keypunch, verifier, sorter, mimeograph, addressograph, office calculator and interpreter; checking load manifest against tickets; receiving, uncrating and checking material, issuing material and inventorying; posting journals or stock record card; operating communications and telephone switchboard operator equipment; collecting and balancing of cash and charge transitions associated with rate/day changes, special services, air bills and excess baggage fees; boarding passengers at the gate; assisting passengers with lost and found claims; handling and tagging baggage, cargo and mail; cleaning aircraft and other areas; loading and unloading trucks and aircraft; servicing aircraft with fuel, lubricant and related supplies; operating automotive equipment.
Contract Service Agent: This position has the tasks to support (ANA) All Nippon Airways Contract Service. Operation as follows (English/Japanese bilingual skills required). The duties include: checking-in passenger and baggage and making reservations; boarding passengers at the gate; assisting passengers with lost and found claims; handling and tagging baggage; operating automotive equipment.
Supervisor Maintenance: This person directly supervises vendors to insure that all maintenance work is done in accordance with F.A.A & H.A Specs. Ensures that vendors meet all HAL GMM requirements. Arranges for materials and staffing for both scheduled and unscheduled station work. Provides the interface between HAL Planning and station maintenance vendor to insure all of the planned maintenance objectives are met daily. Is the station focal point for all HAL technical and engineering requests and clarifications. Leads, Coaches, and Supervises HA Maintenance personnel. Ensure that they are properly trained and are current on the fleet operating through their stations. Supervisors are responsible for the safety of themselves, equipment, space and the employees under their jurisdiction. They shall investigate any accident reported to them in accordance with company policy. Coordinates aircraft maintenance with HAL Maintenance Control, sets ETRs, advise times and clears or release times. Coordinates and communicates station maintenance activities with local station management. Supervises vendors and maintains proper completion of A/C records and forms. Supervises vendors and processes HAL parts inventory at the station. Completes all necessary computer entries in CHAMP. Will be required to evaluate vendor maintenance personnel and make recommendations for improvements and changes up to and including disciplinary action to their managers.
Manager- MX Records: This position will establish and maintain a comprehensive record keeping system in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations; establish and maintain a system of record keeping suitable for any aircraft sold, returned, or transferred by the Company; responsible for maintaining the AD current status listing for the airframe, engines, and components and current status of Life Limited Parts, Major Repairs, and Major Alterations; responsible for the accountability, correctness, and completeness of all legal documents pertaining to aircraft acquisition or lease return; provide vendor oversight for outsourced record keeping ensuring FAR and lessor requirement compliance; administer the provisions of the labor agreement as applicable to those personnel within the department.
Product Manager: The duties of this position include: Manage several of Hawaiian Airlines’ ancillary revenue travel products, including Preferred Seats, Premier Club, Purchase Miles and Gift Cards; accountable for delivering on multi-million dollar annual revenue budget as well as profitability/return-on-investment targets; work with departments across the Hawaiian Airlines organization and with partners (if necessary) to market, sell and deliver products; respond to customer inquiries/complaints; solve operational challenges; and implement product improvements; analyze product financial and operational performance, and develop and execute strategies to improve performance; develop and present business cases for new opportunities; manage projects to implement new/updated products and ancillary revenue opportunities; monitor airline and other industry ancillary revenue developments and trends, conduct competitive product audits & analysis, and present synthesized findings on a regular basis.
