More than 40 years ago, Harry J. Hoenselaar began a unique practice when he opened his first The HoneyBaked Ham Company store in Michigan. He’d choose the handpicked quality bone in ham. Cure it in his top secret marinade, and then for tenderness, he’d smoke the ham for hours above a sole blend of hardwood chips.

Three generations with more than 400 stores later, the Hoenselaar family still organizes the HoneyBaked Ham the same means that Harry did, one ham at a time. Job Description / Average Wage

General Manager: As the company’s general manager your job is to adhere to company’s vision and provide course to guarantee store procedure is aligned with the company’s calculated plan. Candidate must have a 3-5 years of Retail or Restaurant Management experience or associated field, experience in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing employees, experience in growing sales and providing brilliant customer service. In this area, someone can expect to make around $45,000.00 dollars a year.

Assistant Manager:   Working as an assistant manager, you’re going to oversee duties when he/she isn’t present in the store.   Like the general manager, you’ll be in charge of assigning tasks, opening up the store as well as performing many of the various representatives duties.   The average wage starts at $11 per hour.

Holiday Retail Representatives: Job duties would comprise but not be partial to showing product to the customer, preparing trials to hand out, making sandwiches and party trays and supplying the store. Applicants should be sociable and proficient. The average wage for an hourly holiday retail representative is $8.00 an hour.
