History of Hotdog on a Stick

Hot Dog on a Stick was first opened by Dave Barham in 1946. The company has over 100 stores in 11 states. This original location changed to Hot Dog on a Stick, and is still selling sizzling hot dog on a stick and fresh, delicious lemonade to beachgoers up to present.

In 1973, the first mall location in Salt Lake City, Utah was opened. After 11 years, Dave had opened over 25 stores in nine different states and has continued all over the United States –   Hawaii, Alaska to Wyoming and New Mexico.

Dave’s mission, “To serve the highest quality product, by the friendliest employees, to the greatest number of people” is still followed up to now by his employees even if he has passed away.

Job Description/Wage Average

Service Crew:  The service crew attends to the customer’s needs — serves the hotdog and the lemonade and prepare the customer’s orders according to what they want.   He/She may also answer customer’s inquiry about the products and services offered by the store. The service crew is also responsible of keeping the store clean and sanitized.   The average wage for this position will start at $8 per hour.

Cashier: This position receives money or payment from the customers’ orders. He/She issues invoices and change if necessary; attends to customer inquiries. This person should know about the prices of the products and as well as he promotions if there any.       If any problems do apply, it will be your duty to report to the main manager on duty to resolve any issues and/or problems.   The average wage for this particular position is going to start at $8 per hour.

Store In-charge: The store in charge supervises the operation of the store. He/She may be acting as store manager for he plans and directs the store activities, solve problems, plan for sales target and guide workers to attain sales goals, hire and train employees and other important tasks. In the absence of one employees, he may perform the duties and responsibilities of the said staff.
