History of Hungry Howie’s

The Hungry Howie’s started in 1973 when Jim Hearn opened a hamburger shop in Taylor, Michigan and it turned into a successful carry-out and delivery pizzeria. In 1982, Jackson and Hearn made a decision to franchise their operation. In January 1983, they awarded their first Hungry Howie’s franchise.

At Hungry Howie’s, the restaurant combined the right ingredients and years of successful experience to create delicious, high-quality Flavored Crustâ„¢ pizzas, oven baked subs, and salads. Hungry Howie’s has emerged as a major competitor in the pizza marketplace and consistently ranks in the top 10 of the nation’s largest pizza franchises. Job Description/Wage Averages

Server: This position deals with the guest for they serve the needs or orders of the guests; provides guests with a clean, unique dining experience; makes sure that every guest is thanked and invited to return. He/She makes sure that all of the needs of the customers are attended promptly.   The average wage for this particular position can start at $3 per hour plus tips.

Bartender: This person will provide beverages according to recipe and customer preferences. He/She is to maintain a well-presented, well-stocked, and clean beverage station or bar area. He/She is to ensure that the needs of the clients are all attended and must always ensure customer satisfaction.   The average wage for this particular position can start at $8 per hour plus tips.

Dishwasher: This person is responsible in ensuring that all dishes, glasses, utensils and kitchen equipment are cleaned, sanitized and stored to maintain cleanliness.   The average wage for this particular position can start at $8 per hour.

Pizza Chef: Pizza chef has the prime duty of preparing ingredients for pizza. They ready the pizza dough, grate cheese, slice and chop pizza toppings such as vegetables and meats. He/She then make pizzas and other foods according to customer orders. Pizza chefs must ensure that the kitchen meets safety and health standards as well.   The average wage for this particular position can start at $8 per hour.
