Job Description / Average Wage

Front Desk Associate: You’re going to work the front desk of the hotel.   You’re going to accept reservations, set up customers with their room, as well as show them where their room is, and more.   You will also help clean the lobby, and perform various duties in your downtime.   The average pay for this position is $11 to $22 a hour.

Housekeeper: You will be in charge of cleaning rooms, where you will stock items in the room, and make sure that the room is up to Hyatt’s standards.   You will change sheets, clean bathrooms, vacuum and more.   You will also help in the laundry room, cleaning linens.   The average wage for this position is $9 to $15 a hour, plus various tips.

Food and Beverage Help: You will assist in the kitchen, where you will do various tasks.   You will wait on customers at the hotel, as well as deliver food to various rooms, when they order room service.   There are many different positions that are located in this department.   The average pay ranges from $9 to $19 a hour.

Sales:   Working in sales, your job will be to draw in new business.   You’ll call up new businesses as well as businesses that have worked in the past.   You’ll start with meetings as well as make sure that guests in the past had a great time.   This job will start at $9+ a hour.

Front Desk Lead:   Working as a lead at the front desk, you’re going to do all the duties the other associates do, but you’ll also be in charge of assigning tasks as well as making sure that all of the tasks are being done according to plan.   The front desk lead will report any problems to the main hotel manager on duty.   The average wage starts at $14+ per hour.
