Il Fornaio (America) Corp. owns and operates 21 full-service restaurants serving high-quality Italian cuisine based on regional Italian recipes. Il Fornaio “Cucina Italiana e Panetteria” (restaurants and retail bakeries) offer in-house dining, retail market, offering Il Fornaio’s unique baked goods, prepared foods, and a variety of Il Fornaio-brand products. It also operates two “Panificios” (wholesale bakeries) that produce fresh, handmade breads, pastries, and other baked goods for sale in Il Fornaio locations, grocery stores, coffee retailers, hotels, and other fine restaurants.

Job Description/Wage Averages

Delivery Driver: This position is in charge in delivering products ordered by the customers to their respective locations. He/She may also receive payments from the customers; he is to ensure that products are delivered promptly and accordingly and to ensure customer satisfaction.   The average wage for this particular position starts at $8 per hour plus tips.

General Manager: This position supervises the entire restaurant operations. He/She will ensure that the restaurant operates efficiently and profitably. He/She has to coordinate with the employees and to ensure that everyone works for the attainment of company goals. He/She will engage in strategic planning, and directing variety of activities of the restaurants. The manager is responsible in maintaining high standards of food, service, and health and safety.   The average wage for this particular position starts at $13 per hour.

Line Cook:   The line cook takes charge one station on a restaurant line and has the responsibility to set up the work station, prepare items for service, clean the station and organize produce delivery, train a new cook and perform complete inventory. The expected salary is in the average of $10 per hour.   The average wage for this particular position starts at $8 per hour.

Bartender: This person will serve beverages according to recipe in a friendly guest-first manner. He/She is to maintain a well-presented, well-stocked, and clean beverage station. The expected salary ranges $16k to $18k per hour.   The average wage for this particular position starts at $8 per hour plus tips.
