Restaurant Manager: Restaurant managers ensure that restaurants operate efficiently and profitably while maintaining their reputation and ethos. They must coordinate a variety of activities, whatever the size or type of the outlet. Managers are responsible for the business performance of their restaurant, as well as maintaining high standards of food, service, and health and safety.
Restaurant management combines strategic planning, shift pattern organization and day-to-day management activities. Depending on the nature of the outlet, the role may have creative aspects, particularly in marketing and business development. The salary to the successful candidate is $36,296 annually.
Distribution Manager: Supervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, testing, and shipping products or materials. Some of the responsibilities are as follows:
- Plan, develop, and implement warehouse safety and security programs and activities.
- Review invoices, work orders, consumption reports, and demand forecasts in order to estimate peak delivery periods and to issue work assignments.
- Schedule and monitor air or surface pickup, delivery, or distribution of products or materials.
- Interview, select, and train warehouse and supervisory personnel.
- Confer with department heads to coordinate warehouse activities, such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing.
- Respond to customers’ or shippers’ questions and complaints regarding storage and distribution services.
Candidate will receive an annual wage of $39,000 – $42,000.
