History of Jack’s

Jack’s was first established in the year 1960 at Homewood, Alabama. People from miles around the location walk up and get a taste of the store’s fresh burgers, crinkle-cut fries and hand-dipped shakes. For fifty years later, Jack’s has grown across the Southeast- with locations in Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi and Georgia. Over the years, one thing has remained the same: Jack’s is still serving up great food- with a smile.

Job Description/Wage Averages

Baker: The baker prepares and cooks the bread and pastries and other delicacies of the store according to the recipe and company standards. he must also ensure that the area where the bread is prepared is cleaned and sanitized to ensure safe food handling.   The average wage can start at around $8 per hour.

Server: The server is responsible in completing the orders of the guests; order and deliver foods and drinks to the guests; must ensure customer satisfaction and responds to the customer’s need promptly and appropriately.   The average wage can start at around $3 per hour plus tips.

Store Manager: The store manager oversees the operation of the store. He/She will lead the team in giving quality products and services to the customers; he must also ensure that everyone is working for the attainment of the company’s goals; he will also hire and train employees and discharge them in the appropriate position.   The average wage can start at around $12 per hour.

Service Crew: This person attends to customers’ needs; he will be taking orders and answer the questions of the customers about the products. He/She musts ensure customer satisfaction and must immediately respond to their needs.   The average wage can start at around $8 per hour.

Cashier: The cashier processes or prepares the bills of the customers; he receives the payment from the purchased products and handles the said money accordingly. He/She must help other restaurant staff to satisfy every customer.   The average wage can start at around $8 per hour.
