Job Description/Wage Averages

Bartender: The bartender mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks following restaurant’s specifications. Serves food and drinks to guests in a courteous and timely manner.   The average wage can start at $8 per hour.

Dishwasher: The dishwasher maintains kitchen work areas, equipment, plates and utensils in a clean, sanitary and orderly condition. He/She will also assist in food preparation procedures.   The average wage can start at $8 per hour.

Host: The host greets and seats all guests in a friendly manner and assists in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant.   Depending on the situation as well as the time of the day, you may assist with their drink order in the beginning.   The average wage can start at $8 per hour.

Line Cook: The line cook prepares all menu items according to recipes and specifications.   The average wage can start at $9 to $11 per hour.

Server: The server serves food and drinks and accommodates guests’ needs in a courteous and timely manner.   The average wage can start at $3 per hour, plus tips.

Manager: This person has the responsibilities which include managing all areas of the operations during scheduled shifts which includes on-the-spot decision making, supporting the staff, 100% interaction with the guest, ensuring that the guests’ needs are our main focus while enforcing standards for individual performance; assess staffing needs and recruit staff; monitor purchasing, storage, preparation, cooking, handling, and serving of all food and beverage products to ensure correct recipe, portion, and specification standards; act as support system for all areas of the restaurant; organize and direct training programs within the restaurant; maintain spotlessly clean and safe restaurant at all times; ensure highest quality levels of products and hospitality; lead and live by PRIDE (Passion, Respect, Integrity, Determination, and Excellence).   The average wage can start at $8 per hour.
