Job Descriptions / Wage Averages

Retail Sales Associate: Your main job as a sales associate will be to ensure that the customers have an experience that will keep them coming back time and time again. You will be part of a selling environment where your selling strength and fashion sense will make you an important part of the team. Your responsibilities will include demonstrating outstanding customer service skills, providing product knowledge to our customers and working as part of a team to meet individual, department and store objectives. In the position, you would make anywhere from $7 – $12 dollars an hour.

Sales Manager: You’re going to be in charge of overseeing a department.   You’re going to assign tasks, help employees, as well as help hire people into your particular department.   You’re going to make sure that all items are stocked appropriately, as well as priced right.   If there are problems in the department, you will answer to the main store manager.   The average wage varies anywhere from $38,000 to $70,000 a year.

You will be responsible for conducting audits and promoting shortage prevention. You will also work to prevent and apprehend shoplifter and other customers who commit other crimes on the premises. The starting hourly rate in this position is somewhere from $12 – $13 dollars.
