Mother’s Market started in 1978 with the purpose to serve natural foods market and restaurant. The business owners who are group friends wanted to provide the community with vegetarian that were not readily available at other stores. The first store was in Costa Mesa and has grown into six Southern California locations, serving over 50,000 people a week; then in The Huntington Beach in 1984; Irvine, in 1996 then, four years later, the Laguna Woods was opened; in Santa Ana in 2008 and was the largest store; and in August 2009 in Anaheim Hills.
Over the years, Mother’s Market is famed of natural foods for specialized diets, top quality local and organic produce, the county’s largest selection of supplements and all at a great value- Organic, Non-GMO, Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten-free, low carbohydrate, low-glycemic, low-fat, low-salt and more. Job Description/ Salary Averages
Cashier: The cashier takes charge in receiving payment of the customers of the purchased products, issue refunds if necessary and should also be knowledgeable of the prices of every product for sale. He/She may also assist in attending the needs of the customers and to help in locating the customers’ product need. The expected hourly rate is $10.
Sales: This person is a key position that takes charge in generating sales for the company. He/She is also responsible in attending to customer inquiries about the company’s products and services; assisting the customers in getting the products appropriate to their needs. He/She may also serve as a liaison about the customers’ wants, complaints and other customers concerns to the management.
Supervisor: Watching over the operations of the store, you’re going to make sure that the company is running according to company policy. Your sole duties are going to make sure that the employees have their tasks assigned as well as help employees with tasks that need to be done. The average wage starts at $11 per hour.
