History of Orange Julius

Founded back in the late 1920s, Orange Julius today is known for their fruity based beverages.   By the late 1980s, the Orange Julius company was bought out by Dairy Queen.   Since then, you will find that most of these locations are combined with the Dairy Queen.   You can find a majority of them in your local mall.

Job Description / Average Wage

Team Member: As a team member, you’re going to help the customer at the counter, where you will help ring up their order, as well as help process their drink order.   In your down time, you will help clean the machines, as well as the shop area.   The average wage for this position is $7 to $8 a hour.

Shift Manager / Supervisor: As a shift manager, you will watch over a shift, when your main manager isn’t in the shop itself.   You will assign tasks, as well as help the employees with any tasks that they need help with.   You will report any problems to the upper management team.   The average wage is around $8 to $11 a hour.

Kitchen / Backroom: Since most Orange Julius branded stores are with Dairy Queens, you may find that the location that you’re applying at has a kitchen.   If you work at a location like this, you will help in the back, where you will prep the kitchen, cook food to standards, as well as help clean, and shut down.   The average wage is $8 to $9 a hour.

Assistant Manager: The assistant manager is going to overlook the whole shift while the main manager isn’t in.   You’re going to help with assisting with tasks, as well as making sure that everything is running according to schedule.   If anything is going wrong, you will assist with the main manager.   The average wage is anyhwere from $9 to $13 a hour.
