Papa Murphy’s is the largest take and bake pizza company based in Vancouver, Washington. The concept originated in 1981 in Hillsboro, Oregon. The company now has 1,100 stores in the United States and 14 in Canada. Almost all of the restaurants are franchised owned and they are considered the 5^th largest pizza chain in the world.

Papa Murphy’s concept is for customer’s to buy the pizza in the store but bake it in their homes. For this reason, the manager should just offer and make the pizzas with only the freshest ingredients for longevity of the product. The manager should also make sure that they have enough stock to go around.

The employees should provide excellent service and this is achieved through constant training provided by the manager. Employees should be given annual appraisals to commend their performance and check for opportunities for improvement. The manager should also encourage employees by leading through example.

Store Manager

• Salary: Store managers are eligible to get basic pay within the range of $30,000 to $45,000.
• Bonuses: Usual bonus provided are cash bonuses which can be anywhere from $2,400 to $3,600 annually.
• Profit Sharing: Although bonuses are provided, profit sharing with employees is not considered by the company.
• Stock Options: Other incentives are not available; stock options are also not part of the salary package.

District Manager

• Salary: District managers’ salary starts from $43,000 to $47,000 based on experience.
• Bonuses: The company can give bonuses to employees in this position which amounts from $2,893 to $3,100.
• Profit Sharing: District managers are not eligible for profit sharing.
• Stock Options: Stock options are also not considered for the employees.
