Quik Trip main headquarters is located in Tulsa and it is a chain of convenience stores. Most of the stores are located in the Midwestern and Southern parts of the United States. Chester Cadieux and Burt B. Holmes opened up the first store in 1958 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Job Description/ Average Wage
Relief Worker: Usually the relief worker comes on duty for the night shift and takes the place of the workers in order to let them have a break. Most relief workers only work part-time for a few hours each evening in order to give the bulk of the workers time to eat or take a short break. They must be able to handle the cash register, floor, and a variety of other duties to help operate the store during break time. The average wage for a relief worker is normally $10.00 an hour.
Night Assistant: The night assistant works instead of the manager. They are responsible for closing the store if they close or at least closing out the night shift for the start of the day shift. They must know how to operate all the stores operations from the gas pumps to inside cash area. They are responsible to help customers and employees during their shifts. They must also make sure that the safety of everyone is kept during their shift. The average wage for a night shift assistant is $10.39 an hour and they work normally a 46 hour week. The average weekly pay is around $509.00 giving them a yearly wage of $36,900.
Part-Time Clerk: A part-time clerk works behind the counter in one section of the store. They may work for the deli, service station or the retail division. They take the cash from the customers, ringing up the sales and giving the customer their change. They must be friendly and courteous to all the customers. They are supposed to keep their area clean and make sure that their cash drawer is kept in balance. A part-time clerk normally earns $8.00 an hour.
