Rainforest Cafe is a restaurant chain owned by Landry’s Restaurants, Inc. of Houston, Texas. Its first location was opened in the year 1994 at Bloomington, Minnesota. Since then, more locations are opened in the United States, Mexico and UK. These restaurants operate in different themes and concepts too. The restaurant is famous with its rainforest themed restaurants where kids would really love the ambiance. Several capitalists have joined the venture and have owned different franchises in various locations.

Job Description/Wage Averages

Executive Chef:   This person will direct and supervise daily operations of the kitchen, providing professional leadership and training to kitchen personnel. He/She is to control labor cost by properly scheduling staff, improving productivity and reviewing daily punch report; verify that kitchen staff follow all recipes; ensure food quality by maintaining the highest standards of personal hygiene, proper food handling techniques, and a clean, well-maintained physical plant; assist in training employees to company standards, policy and procedures; maintain inventory systems; ensure that all recipes, food preparations, and plate presentations meet the standards of the company. He/She will be receiving an annual salary in an average of $65K.

General Manager: This position makes sure that the restaurant operates efficiently and profitably. He/She mans the personnel so eveybody works for the attainment of company goals. He/She must to plan, direct and must coordinate a variety of activities of the restaurants. The manager is responsible for the business performance of their restaurant, maintain high standards of food, service, and health and safety.

Server:   This person primarily serves guests quickly and according to the standards. He/She must have complete knowledge of food and beverage menus; offer high quality customer service, and maintain station in a clean and orderly manner throughout shifts; takes guest orders; adheres to all safety and sanitation policies. The annual salary ranges $33k to 451k.

Bartender:   This person will serve alcoholic beverages to guests at the bar. He/She is to prepare alcoholic beverages for servers at the service bar window; great the bar guests; take food and/or beverage orders; respond to questions and suggestively sells by making food and beverage recommendations; preparing beverage orders for guests; setting up, maintaining, restocking and closing bar and bar service window stations.
