History of Roy’s

In 1988, the first Roy’s was opened in Honolulu, Hawaii. Today there are 31 Roy’s locations around the world–23 in the continental U.S., six in Hawaii, one in Japan and one in Guam. Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion ® Cuisine was born in Hawaii to give way for the food and the “aloha” spirit, where the restaurant’s principles is based. The restaurant offers a combined European and Asian – “aloha” style of service comes straight from the heart, and the dining experience becomes unforgettable.

Job Description/Wage Averages

Dishwasher: This person takes charge in cleaning the dishes, utensils and the kitchen equipment and stores them in a clean place. He/She is also to ensure a clean and sanitized kitchen.   The average wage for this particular position can start at $8 per hour.

Busser: This position is in charge in keeping the dining area clean and organized.   The average wage for this particular position can start at $8 per hour.

Cashier : A cashier operates the cash register and should know how to process cash payments and non-cash payments. He/She should be able to talk to the customers of other payment options available to them.   The average wage for this particular position can start at $8 per hour.

Server:   The position serves the guests quickly, efficiently, and he must have complete knowledge of food and beverage menus. He/She has to offer superior customer service, and maintain station in a clean and orderly manner throughout shifts. He/She will also effectively merchandize food and beverage menus in an informative, friendly and enthusiastic manner; take guest orders; follow all safety and sanitation policies; calculate each guest check and must maintain a clean, neat, well-groomed appearance.   The average wage for this particular position can start at $3 per hour plus tips.
