Job description / Average wages
Cashier: As a cashier, your responsibilities will include: helping to assist customers in the check out process in a friendly and courteous manner and to do so as accurately and effectively as possible. Must be able to work in a busy environment. A cashier will usually make $8 to $9 dollars an hour.
Courtesy Clerk: Your job as a courtesy clerk, will be mostly about providing superior customer service. You will need to greets customers, help customers out to their cars, bag groceries, and collects empty carts for return to the store. Some of the other duties you may be responsible for, include, price checks, sanitation, stocking bags, returning merchandise to the shelves, and cleaning spills. On average, a courtesy clerk make somewhere between $7 and $9 dollars an hour.
Sacker: Your duties as a sacker are simple, you bag all the groceries that a customer purchases, and transfers them into a separate cart. You also will be expected to offer to escort customer to their car and load the bag. You will also be on a rotating schedule to collect carts from the parking lot with others. This job can sometimes be demanding and you would be expected to work in indoor/outdoor environments.
