History of Shopko
Formed back in 1962, you can find many Shopko locations across 13 states, including Wisconsin and others. Today, they employ well over 25,000 employees and do over 2 billion in sales on an annual basis. They have over 135 stores located across the main midwest in the United States.
Shopko Stores is a chain of retail stores based in Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin, near Green Bay. With approximately 16,000 workers, Shopko Stores has a presence in 13 states, and generates yearly sales of around $2.2 billion. Shopko was established in 1962 by James Ruben, and its initial store opened at 216 S. Military Avenue in Green Bay. From 1991 to 2005, the company was publicly held, with stock traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol SKO. In December 2005, the company was purchased by an affiliate of Sun Capital Partners and reverted to private ownership. In 1999, Shopko acquired Pamida, a regional discount chain that operated mostly in smaller communities of 3,000 to 8,000 people. The company operated Pamida as a divide division until 2007, when Pamida was divided from Shopko and reestablished as a separate company.

Job Description / Average Wage at Shopko
Merchandise / Stock: Your duties include stocking shelves on the main floor, organizing the backroom, as well as helping with associates in both the back, as well as on the front floor.
