History of Silver Diner

A year before Silver Diner was established in 1988, the founders Robert Guiamo and Chef Ype Von Hengst spent time visiting a lot of American family dining restaurant n order to get an idea why there are several classic restaurant exist. Then, they aimed at creating a dining style that will establish a styled food that will appeal to the next generation dining restaurant. Silver Diner was then opened in Rockville, Maryland. It is the largest chain of diners in America with the highest average sales per store of its kind. Silver Diner Development, Inc. operates 15 restaurants in the mid-Atlantic region of the United States with locations in New Jersey, Maryland, and Virginia.

Job Description/Wage Averages

Operations Manager: This person takes charge the entre operations of the restaurant in all aspects. He is also engaged in planning in order to set activities that are all designed to reach the company’s sales goals. He/she expects to have an annual salary of $36K to $42K.

Service Manager: To ensure excellent services in the dining restaurant, this person should man the service staff effectively. He/she guides and trains the employees on how to maintain quality customer services. He/she ensures that the company rules, guidelines and standards are adhered by everyone.   The annual salary is $46K to $51K.

Bartender: This person is the in-charge of preparing beverage orders in accordance to company procedures and standards. The bartender will also ensure that the bar where he/she is the in charge is clean and sanitized. He also orders wines and drinks in order to replenish the stocks.

Dishwasher: The dishwasher maintains the cleanliness of the kitchen utensils. He/she places the dishes, spoons and forks in clean and sanitized area.

Host: The host welcomes the guests and accommodates them to the right place. He/she will see to it that the orders are well served and that the dining area offers a pleasant atmosphere for everyone. He/she also attends bookings and reservations.
