Job Description/Wage Averages

General Manager: The general manager manages the entire restaurant operations. He/She plans and directs the restaurant activities and must e3nsure that all the staff is working towards the attainment of company goals. He/She is also engaged in strategic planning and in setting company goals; must hire and train employees. He/She will expectedly receive an annual salary ranging $35k to $38k.

Server: The server is considered as the front liner of the restaurant. The servers take and deliver orders of the customers according to the restaurant’s standards and by also considering the customers’ preferences; answer the questions of the guests tactfully and must ensure that customers’ satisfaction is attained with the quality foods and services.   The average wage can start at around $3 to $4 per hour plus tips.

Dishwasher: The Dishwasher must ensure a well cleaned and sanitized dishes, kitchen utensils and equipment. He/She must store the kitchen utensils and equipment in the proper place too. He/She must also make sure that the kitchen area is well organized.   The average wage can start at around $8 per hour.

Cashier:  The cashier helps in processing bills for the customers; receives payments whether in cash or through credit cards. He/She must help in ensuring customer satisfaction too.   You’ll ensuring that they had a pleasant visit when ordering.   The average wage can start at around $8 per hour.

Host: The host will assist every guest that gets in the restaurant; arrange reservations and scheduling them properly; may also help in attending the customers’ needs and should be very tactful in answering the customers’ questions about the services of the restaurant.   The average wage can start at around $8 per hour.
